The Greenville office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, The Preferred Realty, is located in a small quiet town along the Shenango River in Mercer County in northwest Pennsylvania. It is centrally located from Erie, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. It is just under 2 square miles in area and had a population of almost 6,000 in the 2010 census. Greenville was established in 1819.

The town of Greenville owns and maintains seven parks - the biggest being Riverside Park which has an outdoor amphitheatre, which was just newly renovated and a new playground which was built in 2012 by community volunteers. A sports complex is housed in the adjacent West Salem Township where community softball, soccer and football programs are held. Greenville is also close to the Pymatuning Dam, the Shenango Lake Reservoir and Lake Wilhelm where boating, picnicking and camping are available.

Greenville is the home of Thiel College. The Greenville Area School District serves some of the area and the Reynolds Area School District also serves some of the area.

There are three museums in Greenville: the Greenville Area Historical Society at the Waugh House Museum, the Greenville Railroad Park and Museum, and the Erie Extension Canal Museum. Also, the post office is considered among the finest of Depression-Era design, built under the WPA program during the Roosevelt administration.
